AFTERCARE

LIP FILLER

Pre-Care

Avoid alcohol, NSAIDs, fish oil, vitamin E, and other blood-thinning supplements for at least 48 hours prior (unless prescribed).
Stay well hydrated and eat prior to your appointment.
Avoid dental work or vaccinations for 2 weeks before treatment.
If you have a history of cold sores, please notify your PCP for an anti-viral prior to your treatment. We cannot treat you during an active cold sore, you must notify our clinic immediately to be rescheduled.
Avoid caffeine or stimulants the day of your appointment.

Post-Care

Expect swelling, tenderness, and possible bruising 1-2 weeks.
Filler integration may take up 12 weeks. Lumps, bumps, firmness and asymmetries may be expected during this time.
Avoid touching, massaging, or applying pressure to the lips unless directed.
Begin massaging lips as directed one week after treatment (you will be receiving a reminder with a video).
Avoid pulling, puckering, or sucking motions for at least 2 weeks. Straw use is not recommended in general.
No strenuous exercise, saunas, or hot environments for 24–48 hours.
Avoid alcohol or NSAIDs for 48 hours after treatment. Tylenol (Acetaminophen) is recommended for pain management.
For swelling management: Sleep elevated the first night, take antihistamines (i.e. loratadine, Zyrtec) while swelling is present. Do not ice.
Do not schedule dental work or vaccinations for 2 weeks after treatment.

Most patients need 2–3 sessions to achieve desired fullness. Results are immediate but continue to refine over 2 weeks. 30-40% of your initial swelling subside at the two week mark. Maintenance is typically every 6–12 months depending on metabolism and desired volume.

FACIAL FILLER

Pre-Care

Avoid alcohol, NSAIDs, fish oil, vitamin E, and other blood-thinning supplements for at least 48 hours prior (unless prescribed).
Stay hydrated and eat prior to your appointment.
Avoid dental work or vaccinations for 2 weeks before treatment.
We cannot treat over open sores or active infections. We cannot treat you during an active infection, you must notify our clinic immediately to be rescheduled.
Schedule dental work either 2 weeks before or after treatment.

Post-Care

Mild swelling, bruising, and tenderness are common for 1-2 weeks.
Avoid heavy pressure, massage, lasers, or facials for one month unless instructed.
No strenuous exercise or excessive heat for 24–48 hours.
Sleep on your back with your head elevated for the first 1–2 nights. Avoid alcohol or NSAIDs for 48 hours after treatment. Tylenol (Acetaminophen) is recommended for pain management.

Many patients benefit from 1–2 initial sessions to build optimal structure and balance. Full results settle over 2–12 weeks. Maintenance is typically every 9–18 months depending on product and area treated. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, biostimulators (Sculptra, Radiesse), or a combination of both may be utilized.

COLLAGEN STIMULATORS

(Radiesse® or Sculptra®)

Pre-Care

Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning agents for at least 48 hours prior.
Stay well hydrated before and after treatment.
Avoid anti-inflammatory medications unless prescribed.
Do not treat if you have an active infection or inflammatory condition in the area.

Post-Care

Swelling and firmness are normal and temporary.
Massage as directed (often 5 minutes, 5 times per day, for 5 days, depending on product).
Use a clean pillowcase.
Avoid strenuous exercise and heat for 24–48 hours.
Mild bruising may last up to 1–2 weeks.
Results appear gradually as collagen builds.

Collagen stimulators are built over time, typically requiring 2–3 sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart. Results develop gradually over 3–6 months. Maintenance is usually every 1–2 years.

MICRONEEDLING

Pre-Care

Avoid retinoids, exfoliants, and acids for 3–5 days prior and after.
No sunburn, tanning, or active skin infections.
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment.
Arrive with clean skin (no makeup).

Post-Care

Skin will appear red and feel tight or warm for 24–72 hours.
Do not apply makeup for 24 hours.
Use a clean pillow case.
Avoid exercise, sweating, saunas, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours.
Use only gentle cleanser and approved post-care products.
Wear SPF daily and avoid direct sun for 7 days.

Best results are achieved with a series of 3–6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Skin texture and tone continue improving over several weeks. Maintenance is recommended every 3–6 months.

WRINKLE RELAXERS

(Xeomin®, Daxxify®)

Pre-Care

Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications for 24–48 hours.
Arrive with a clean face (no makeup if possible).
Avoid facial treatments or massages for 24 hours prior.

Post-Care

Remain upright, avoid hats/headsbands, or touch the injection sites for 4 hours after treatment.
Do not rub, massage, or apply pressure to treated areas for 24 hours.
Avoid strenuous exercise, heat, and alcohol for 24 hours.
Mild redness or swelling at injection sites may occur briefly.
Results begin in 3–7 days, with full effect by 21 days.

Most patients require one session per treatment cycle. Results last approximately 3–4 months (up to 6 months with certain products). Regular maintenance ensures consistent results.

FAT DISSOLVING

(PCDC)

Pre-Care

Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning supplements for 5–7 days.
Stay hydrated and eat prior to treatment.
Avoid treatment if you have active infection or inflammation in the area.

Post-Care

Swelling, firmness, and tenderness are expected and may last 1–3 weeks.
Avoid strenuous exercise and heat for 48 hours.
Wear compression if recommended.
Avoid massage unless specifically instructed.
Bruising and numbness can occur temporarily.

Fat dissolving treatments require multiple sessions, typically 2–4 spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Results build gradually as fat cells are eliminated. Once achieved, results are permanent with stable weight. Swelling expected for 6-8 weeks.
